To feel secure, your man needs adulation, admiration, and approval. If you can meet these three needs for your man, you will be going a long way toward creating lasting happiness in your life with him. Your guy wants you to admire everything about him, and he needs to hear it in the form of flattery and praise. Adulation is just excessive admiration, and I don’t think men ever get tired of hearing how wonderful they are.

If you can keep your admiration light-hearted and fun, that’s even better. Tell him how big and strong he is. Admire his body and his muscles, his sense of humor and how he makes you laugh. Tell him how great you think he is both in his professional and personal life. Men need your admiration and adulation. They need to feel that you think he is wonderful and perfect just like he is, and no other man could ever fill his shoes.

Your man needs your approval more than you realize. A woman’s disapproval can really hurt a man deep inside, and he can carry that hurt for a long time. Be careful with his ego and think carefully before you let him know you disapprove of him in any way. For every one hundred compliments and one criticism you give a man, that one criticism will carry more weight than all the compliments combined and multiplied a hundred times over.

Approval is not easy to fake. Decide that he is okay just the way he is and that you will approve of him no matter what happens. Incorporate that belief into your heart and mind.
